| Practice Info - In the doctor's words |

I became aware that in my old high-volume-practice clinic, wherein we were so rushed for time
trying to cover our overheads, I was missing the essence of medicine, which is the personal
relationship with my patients.
Consequently, at the end of 2003, I left the group practice to start a patient-oriented family
practice based on the concierge or retainer model. Patients pay an annual retainer to join the
group for which I am the physician. My staff and I focus on high levels of service, and use the
latest in technology to help achieve this.
My office was designed for a paperless environment by incorporating wireless computer technology
into each room and utilizing electronic medical records (EMR). The EMR system digitally stores
patient information including lab results, and automates the processes of prescribing medications, cross-checking for

drug interactions, and sending prescription requests directly to pharmacies.
The old joke about doctors’ bad handwriting is no longer a factor in the patient chart or prescription
order, eliminating medical errors due to handwriting. The time I save in dictating and hand-writing
notes is given back to you. One of the great benefits of my electronic medical records is
that I can access patient data from anywhere - office, home, or off-site.
Having access to your records from anywhere enables me to serve you around the clock as if I were
working in my office with your chart.
I have been fortunate enough to have experienced many different healthcare systems as I have
held medical licenses and have worked in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, Canada
and now in the U.S.A. After all this experience, I have chosen to return to the practice style
that I originally graduated into, in which you, the patient, is placed first, your time is
respected by not keeping you waiting, and access includes good old fashioned house calls.
Combining this focus on service with modern technology increases safety, enables me to
more appropriately answer your calls after hours since I can access your chart from home,
and provides more time for me to focus on you rather than on paperwork. I feel that I offer a
safer, higher quality, and more patient-oriented practice that I can be proud of and that fills
a void here in Naples.
